17 INCH STRING OF MALACHITE CHIP BEADS
Malachite gets it's name (via french and Latin) from the Greek word Mallow. It is a green stone formed with linear patterns from copper ore.
Until 1800 it was used as the pigment for green paint. It is light sensitive and acid sensitive.
It is found in Northern Asia, North and South America, Russia, Canada, Australia and England.
